IOM, in collaboration with governmental and nongovernmental stakeholders, is dedicated to addressing Haiti's immediate and long-term mobility challenges. The focus is on enhancing the capacity of national institutions to better manage human mobility. IOM aims to tackle the root causes of irregular migration and internal displacement, minimize forced movement, reduce vulnerability among crisis-affected and at-risk populations, enhance resilience to identified risks, and incorporate migration into the development agenda through policy and legislation aligned with the Global Compact on Migration and the Los Angeles Declaration on Migration and Protection.
