In the Metropolitan Area of the Haitian capital Port-au-Prince, one in three schools is the target of violence, and one in four schools is dysfunctional, revealed an assessment carried out by the Ministry of Education and UNICEF between April and May in underprivileged and hard-to-reach neighbourhoods of Cité Soleil, Croix-des-Bouquets, Delmas, Ganthier, Port-au-Prince North and South, Pétion-Ville et Tabarre.
