RESUMEN DE TESIS La presente investigación, titulada “Participación comunitaria y la seguridad ciudadana en la región Lima, 2012-2014”, considera dentro de su objetivo principal, determinar la relación de la participación comunitaria con la seguridad ciudadana en la región Lima, 2012-2014. El método de estudio tiene un enfoque mixto, con un alcance descriptivo correlacional y diseño no experimental, con una población objetiva de 143 oficiales y funcionarios del Sistema de Seguridad Ciudadana en la región Lima, los cuales tienen responsabilidad estratégica dentro de la gestión a nivel de participación comunitaria de la seguridad ciudadana, y una muestra de 105 personas; con la aplicación de un cuestionario para determinar los objetivos de la investigación, y utilizando la prueba Chi Cuadrado para la demostración de la hipótesis general siguiente: “La participación comunitaria se relaciona de manera limitada con la seguridad ciudadana en la región Lima, 2012-2014”. Durante el desarrollo de esta investigación se llegó a la conclusión general siguiente: La relación entre la participación comunitaria y la seguridad ciudadana en la región Lima durante el período 2012-2014 fue débil, a pesar de su planificación y consideración en el desarrollo de las acciones del Sistema de Seguridad Ciudadana para alcanzar los objetivos trazados de manera permanente de la seguridad interna del país. Como parte final del estudio se exponen las recomendaciones de acuerdo a las conclusiones, las cuales son propuestas factibles de materializar en la realidad para mejorar los planes y las estrategias con la participación comunitaria y con ello contribuir eficazmente a alcanzar la seguridad ciudadana.
Abstract (translated):
This research, entitled "Community participation and citizen security in the Lima region, 2012-2014", considers within its main objective, to determine the relationship of community participation with citizen security in the Lima region, 2012-2014. The study method has a mixed approach, with a correlational descriptive scope and non-experimental design, with an objective population of 143 officers and officials of the Citizen Security System in the Lima region, who have strategic responsibility within the management at the community participation level of citizen security, and a sample of 105 people; with the application of a questionnaire to determine the objectives of the research, and using the the Lima region, 2012-2014."During the development of this research, the following general conclusion was reached: The relationship between community participation and citizen security in the Lima region during the period 2012-2014 was weak, despite its planning and consideration in the development of the actions of the Citizen Security System to achieve the objectives set permanently of the internal security of the country. As a final part of the study, the recommendations are presented according to the conclusions, which are proposals that can be materialized in reality to improve plans and strategies with community participation and thereby contribute effectively to achieving citizen security.
