Description

During the last four years, Venezuelan migration has generated problems in the quality of life of those Venezuelans who arrive in the country in vulnerable condition, and in search of better economic, social, labor and health conditions. However, migration represents a challenge not only humanitarian, but a threat to the sovereign territoriality of the Colombian State. Likewise, migration is linked to the factors of instability, given that there is an instrumentalization of migrants by groups outside the law that affect the security of the State. Therefore, migration is understood as a non-traditional threat under the multidimensional security approach. Therefore, for the State it is essential to understand this phenomenon in a comprehensive way, that is, to generate a strategy in a transversal way to all State entities that allow minimizing social and security risks.
