This study analyzes the extent to which corruption within a state leads to emigration. The study looks beyond economic, social, and enviornmental drivers of migration. As a whole, the results found can present interesting implications that can be applied to the displacement of individuals in Haiti as a result of the corruption found within the Haitian government as gangs grow their influence.
