Since 2021, escalating gang violence in Port-au-Prince has expanded throughout Haiti, resulting in daily crimes including homicides, abductions, and sexual violence. Following the 2021 assassination of President Jovenel Moise, Haiti plunged into political and economic turmoil, exacerbating poverty levels.
