Description

In March 2018, Brazil initiated its national Digital Transformation Strategy (BDTS) to leverage digital technologies for economic and social development. The Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Communication (MCTIC) led this evolving policy framework, which necessitated a monitoring system. The SIPA Capstone team partnered with MCTIC to design a dashboard, featuring 45 key indicators, to assess BDTS progress. Extensive research and stakeholder consultations informed this project, addressing digital transformation across various sectors. The dashboard template and data guide delivered provide MCTIC with a powerful tool to enhance Brazil's digital competitiveness and government efficiency. Key recommendations include bridging data gaps and seamless integration of the dashboard into MCTIC's workflow to monitor and boost digital transformation efforts in Brazil.
