Description

The introduction to this publication provides the overall reasoning and relevance of the topic (CIIP) to the LAC region. Chapter 2 reviews CIIP framework development and governance models across selected international cases and concludes with lessons learned and takeaways. Chapters 3 to 5 focus on practical aspects of identifying and protecting crit - ical infrastructures, building recommendations on the practices applied across international cases. Chapter 6 provides an overview of the survey meth - odology and highlights some conclusions from the replies submitted by the private and public sectors in the region. It also provides the results of the clus - tering exercise for the LAC countries. Chapter 7 provides a consolidated list of recommendations, rating the relevance of each for different groups of countries. Additional case studies of five countries in the LAC region (Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, and Mexico) are provided in the appendices for comparison.

Best Practices for Critical Information Infrastructure Protection (CIIP): Experiences from Latin America and the Caribbean and Selected Countries
