Archives Day 2020
Theme: “Open to IDEAs: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access in the Archives”
October 9, 2020

Submission Deadline: October 1, 2020

Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, all Archives Day 2020 programming will be held online.

Archives Day 2020 will be held on October 9 in observance of National Archives Month under the theme, “Open to IDEAs: Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Access in the Archives.” The planning committee has reimagined the event to provide a virtual space where we will all be able to connect with and learn from one another about archival practice, our community, and our unique South Florida primary source materials.

Archives Day 2020 Meet and Greet Virtual Space

You are invited to submit materials from your organization for display in a virtual space to connect the community with the historical resources in South Florida. If you participated in Archives Day before, this virtual space would be like your “table” and could include digital versions of things you may have displayed. Such items may include promotional flyers or videos of your organization, primary source materials, links to research tools and digital repositories, and internships, jobs or volunteer opportunities.

Submission Guidelines

  • Submissions are welcome from interested organizations, institutions, libraries, historical societies, and community archives that have resources located in South Florida.
  • Submissions should be in digital file formats, including pdf, jpg, mov, mp3 and mp4.

Submission Deadline

Submissions are due on Friday, October 1, 2020 by 5 p.m.

Questions regarding your submission or the submission process should be addressed to Rhia Rae ().
