About the Speaker:
Maya Lin is an American designer and artist who is know for her work in sculpture and landscape art. At the age of 21 she designed the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. Her anthology of works includes several other memorials including the Civil Rights Memorial in Montgomery, Albama along with public and private buildings including the Langston Hughes Library.
