Abstract
From Oberlin Conservatory, it is with great pleasure to have had the privilege of having Michael Lynn at Florida International University. His presentation covered the history of the flute from antiquity to present. His lecture is also accompanied by a live performance, great historical illustrations and a display of his private flute collection. Michael Lynn's lecture presented a spectacular prospect of the flute, and how it came to be as we know it today.
