Abstract

Join us as we work through the very basics of the Python programming language, a common and versatile language for research computing, digital humanities, data analysis, and more. This four-part workshop series will ran over two weeks in four 90 minute sessions. We introduce Jupyter Notebooks and explore operators, expressions, data types, variables, functions, flow control, lists, and dictionaries.

This series was part of the 2022-2023 Virtual Digital Scholar Studio Workshop Series and was co-taught in March 2023 by FIU Digital Humanities Librarian Molly Castro and Nathan Kelber, Manager of Education for JSTOR's Constellate.
