Abstract

One of our concerns when approaching education, is the need to better recognise the impact that general curriculum and pedagogy have on student wellbeing. In addition to effective and explicit wellbeing programs, we believe that embedding authentic opportunities for local and global citizneship into the curriculum positively affects wellbeing. We believe that adopting the New Pedagogies for Deep Learning framework addresses student wellbeing and we unpack aspects of the model that do so, emphasising the role of global citizenship development.
