La sección de la biblioteca destinada a bebés exige, como todas las demás, cuidar la calidad en la selección del acervo que se ofrece a lectoras y lectores. A través de los libros que conforman las colecciones de la biblioteca leemos a los niños y leemos niños. En este texto se ofrecen pistas y recomendaciones lectoras para crear oportunidades de encuentros con la lectura y con los bebés lectores y sus familias, resaltando la importancia de colocar a los lectores al centro. La centralidad de bebés lectores conduce nuestras actuaciones como bibliotecarias al planear adquisiciones para conformar colecciones, planear y realizar sesiones de lectura y al disponernos a aprender a mirar lo que ocurre para enriquecer nuestra actuación; aprender del involucramiento, compromiso y multiplicidad de reacciones de la diversidad de lectores y, de cada bebe lector.
Abstract
The section of the library intended for babies requires, like all the others, being careful of the quality in the selection of the collection that is offered to readers. Through the books that make up the library collections, we read to children, and we read children. This text offers reading tips and advice to create opportunities for encounters with reading and with baby readers and their families, highlighting the importance of putting readers at the center. The centrality of baby readers drives our actions as librarians by planning acquisitions to form collections, planning and conducting reading sessions, and by arranging ourselves to learn to watch what happens to enrich our performance; learn from the involvement, commitment, and multiplicity of reactions of the diversity of readers and, of each baby reader.
