La gobernabilidad y la gobernanza constituyen características fundamentales de los sistemas democráticos; en Latinoamérica, esto se ha convertido en objeto de profundos debates académicos. En este artículo se hace una revisión del legado de la Guerra Fría y la transformación del escenario regional, determinado por el cambio de las amenazas y el surgimiento de nuevas tipologías de conflicto, con el fin de analizar su influencia en la gobernabilidad y la gobernanza de los sistemas políticos latinoamericanos.
Governance and governance are fundamental characteristics of democratic systems; in Latin America, this has become the subject of deep academic debate. This article reviews the legacy of the Cold War and the transformation of the regional scenario, determined by the change in threats and the emergence of new types of conflict, in order to analyze its influence on the governability and governance of Latin American political systems.
