Abstract
This presentation discusses how the FIU Libraries' Special Collections Department and the Diaz Ayala Collection protect and organize our institutional and cultural heritage treasures. It highlights how they process and preserve rare items and historical records, making them easy to find. They also describe the challenges they face and the creative solutions they use to bring history to life, ensuring everyone can access and appreciate our shared heritage. Moderator: Ximena Valdivia
