Abstract
Audiovisual materials include format-specific features enabling access to the materials’ contents and influencing the description of the contents. Specific MARC fields and subfields in turn enable catalogers to describe those features to patrons and help them make informed choices when searching for audiovisual titles. This presentation provides a detailed look at the MARC fields and subfields used to describe accommodation and content information such as caption and described video options, program ratings, and form/genre headings.
