Abstract
This presentation is an introduction to name authority records (NARs). It explains what a NAR is, how to search for NARs in OCLC’s authority file, the most commonly used fields in NARs, how to edit an existing NAR, and how to create original NARs, including preliminary searching to avoid duplicating an existing record.
