Near Field Communication is a short-range, wireless technology that establishes a temporary, short-range network between two chips in order to complete a small data transfer. This presentation will showcase an implementation of NFC at the FIU Libraries while highlighting several challenges and opportunities associated with this rapidly expanding technology.
