Description / Descripción
My proposal focuses on the Education theme of ICOT18. As an innovative educator who prides himself on moving the world forward through education, this Thinknovator proposal focuses on the key question of how we can effect real change in our schools and teaching methods to encourage a stronger focus on soft-skill development in our young learners. In workshops around the world, teachers and leaders continue to discuss the need for change, but rarely are on-the-ground teachers provided with the means to design that change in practical, pragmatic ways. This Thinknovator session will attempt to splice together various disciplinary experts to coordinate on how we might be able to actually affect this change. Using design thinking, entrepreneurship-based thinking, and a sheer love for the work we do, I believe this proposal will be widely welcomed and immensely successful.
