Case Studies:

A case report presents the clinical case of one individual, followed prospectively or retrospectively, that has unique characteristics or outcomes relevant to clinical practice. These articles may describe cases in which unique clinical associations, features, therapeutic approaches, events, or other variations are identified. Using a thorough review of relevant literature as a baseline for analysis and comparison, the researcher presents new ideas or suggestions that impact clinical care. A case series is a similar type of article that includes five or fewer individual patient cases. Use the CARE checklist for case studies to evaluate the completeness of your project prior to submitting.
